Four years ago,  Silicon Valley veterans was establish Renovo Motors and said it plans to start building a copy of this Coupe car early next year.

It is based on the chassis Shelby Daytona Cobra was built by the late Carroll Shelby in 1965.

The car was built for racing, and in particular to overtake the Ferrari on the track.

Though the new design was in fact previously familiar model, there is one fundamental difference, no exhaust pipe!

The biggest hurdle for electric sports car comes from the weight of the battery and the time it takes to recharge.

Renovo says it has dealt well with the challenge of using lithium-ion battery that allows weight to be reduced to produce the best performance. Renovo also claim the electric car can be recharged in just over half an hour.

In terms of performance, Renovo said the twin electric motors propel the car to 60 mph (96.5 km / h) in 3.4 seconds, although a range of only 100 miles (150 km).

The model will begin production in 2015 at a price of 529,000 dollars. - Electric Car with Classic Sport Style
